BUSTE GIRARD MANNEQUIN Vintage French Dress Form

A vintage dressmakers mannequin from the famous french maker buste girard paris. These mannequins were made for professional dressmaking and draping. This one is in very good vintage condition, the logo nice and clear. The usual marks that can be expected on the cream calico cover. The wooden tripod stand is original and has been well used and loved, but very sturdy. There is a matching neckpiece and wooden finial.

The wooden pole which goes up the centre of the mannequin is a replacement as is the wooden ring to adjust the height. The mannequin is made in the traditional way, the body is made from papier mache covered with calico. The mannequin is a french size 44 and the measurements are as follows.

Bust: 93 cm (36 3/4). Waist: 67 cm (26 1/2). Hip: 98 cm (38 1/2). Torso height without finial: 81 cm (32). This item is made of calico and papier mache, wood.
