Using just your smartphone and our easy-to-use scanning app, you can capture a 3d body scan of yourself and we turn it into a custom 3d-printed dress form. Our introductory budget model is ideal for hobby sewists. It comes in approximately 2 to 4 parts depending on the size and is easy to assemble with the guided holes and included pegs. This neck-to-thigh torso is 100% scale and features 1" diameter attachment holes inside each leg that can be used with your own 7/8" pole or you can add a loop or hook at the neck for hanging.

The form is lightweight, typically weighing about 15 pounds, and is made of pla filament - a non-toxic "bioplastic" made from renewable, natural sources like corn starch or sugar cane. Your custom dress form is personalized with your name engraved and comes with the option of a fitted linen cover that can be pinned into (from an angle). Alternatively, you can use our optional diy custom cover sewing pattern and save significantly on the cost. Important: the dress form base-price does not come with the cloth cover unless you select that option. Please note that to keep costs affordable, the interior of the form is semi-filled, which means it is partially hollow. However, it is still very sturdy and holds its shape well. We add extra interior fill at the shoulders and neck, but there may still be some slight gaps in the outer shoulder areas. This does not impede the functionality of the dress form. Additionally, in the 3d printing process, there could be various little bumps, burrs, and imperfections, but this is normal and not considered a defect.

Once you place your order, we will contact you right away to give you instructions for using the app to capture your body shape and measurement volumes, and how to also measure yourself by hand. You don't have to worry about real photos or storing your likeness- your privacy is assured. You can instantly inspect a 360-degree view of your avatar "body double" and a report of the basic measurement calculations. Once you review and approve the initial scan, we optimize it for 3d printing. The finished form comes in two pieces for circumference measurements up to about 39" and usually four pieces for measurements above 40".
