French Vintage Modeste Marotte Black fabric Hat Model Stand France Antique for Chapeaux

Marotte head mannequin, black fabric, head circumference 55cm. I think it was a model mannequin for hats. In france, this head mannequin is often called a marotte.

There is a hole at the bottom so it can be attached to a stand. I think the surface fabric is black linen. The surface is made of durable fabric, as it is used for making hats, making shapes, and inserting pins.

It is stitched with ecru thread, and the contrast is cute. There is a stain in one place, but otherwise i think it is in very good condition. It is probably from around 1900. Black marottes are very rare. Approximate size: height 23.3cm, head circumference 55cm. Weight including packaging: within 2kg. But in good condition as an antique.
