MINIATURE STOCKMAN MANNEQUIN Vintage Half Scale Dress Form

A rare and lovely vintage stockman mini mannequin. These mannequins are a perfect scaled-down version of the life-size dress forms. They are made in the same manner from papier maché and covered in calico on a wood stand. They were originally intended for use in the professional atelier for designers to make a complete garment in miniature before committing to cutting into expensive fabric for the life-size version.

Still used for this purpose they also make beautiful decorative pieces in your sewing room or bedroom to hang jewellery brooches etc. Condition is as seen in photos - a few marks on the calico cover, and the base varnish has been rubbed away in places. Bust: 45 cm (17 3/4). Waist: 29 cm (11 1/2).
