Rare Antique Deco Silver Black CUBIST Male Mannequin Sculpture Display Bust 18

You are viewing an abstract silver cubist male head and attached black base, measuring 18 inches in height with 6 inch square attached base. Some scratches and minor chips that have been painted over in the past, as indicated.

Circa late 1940's, it was used as a male hat store display with or w/o glasses, or as simply a striking abstract sculpture. The base has more weight to it for stability as the head itself appears lighter and hollow. The head is not plaster but possibly a fiberglass or resin. Austere & futuristic, the male face looks like a robot from some science fiction film.
