Rare Antique French Wasp Waisted Dress Makers Mannequin by Stockman Very Original Bedroom or Shop Window Display Chic Decor

Welcome to the sale of this magnificent french mannequin. This mannequin ticks all the boxes for rarity and style made by stockman of paris this early example would date from the reign of napoleon the third. It has a wasp waisted figure with a 22 waist, but curves in all the right places.

It is in a very original condition, with its original black fabric (although this is a little worn and thin in places) and its original black paint to the wood. It is correctly marked stockman both as a stencil to the front fabric and on the metal rise and fall key. All in all a superb example of a very rare dress form mannequin by the best maker. I think you'll struggle to find another or better example on etsy, or for sale currently in the uk.

The mannequin measures (in cm) 150 to 180 tall. In good condition commensurate with its age and use. Some tears to the fabric exposing the cotton wool below and wear to the paint.
