Rare Wasp Waist Dress Form, French Antique Mannequin Torso, Found And Flogged

Very rare antique wasp waist mannequin torso in shabby chic condition. Larger than average and beautifully formed waspy from the mid to late 1800s. Never come across one this size before - despite a rather ample bust size of 41.5 inches, the waist is just over 27.5 inches.

Those whalebone corsets must have been so uncomfortable. She is in completely original and unrestored condition, all we've done to her is lightly brushed the fabric as we didn't want to worsen her condition. The board under the fabric is not dented or misshapen, and the board underneath the base is worm-free. The fabric is worn in keeping with it's age, many people love them like this, if it is not to your taste stretch covers for mannequins are easily found online or she could be professionally restored to her former glory - everything is well documented in the photos.
