Vintage Little Girl Mannequin Toddler Made In Denmark with Clothes and Hair

An adorable vintage hindsgaul little toddler girl mannequin made in denmark 2003 copyright symbol on a label on her lower back. These child mannequins are extremely hard to find.

There are plastic ones around but this is not one of those. The company that manufctured this mannequin has a reputation for making extremely beautiful and well made mannequins.

She has been in my storage since probably the early 2000s if i remember correctly so i must have had her for 15 - 17 years appx. I found the box and had no idea what was in it since it was not marked. There is a piece of tape on her upper forhead to secure her hairpiece somewhat that the last owner put on so i left it. She is very coordinated in her outfit. She is wearing a real cute scottie dogs black and white check ruffle dress, panties, white socks with black trim to match the dress and black patent leather-look mary janes. She has beautiful blue eyes with long lashes and very delicate hand painted eyebrows and lower lashes. She has lovely little baby teeth. Her legs are stationary in a sitting position as that is how she was designed and manufactured. Her arms are supposed to come off at the shoulder area but i did not want to force them so maybe someone else could twist them to remove them as i did not have the strength and could not for fear of damaging something. One of her hands at the wrist comes off but the other was too hard for me to do so i just left it as i did not want to break it.

Her dress has been laundered and steamed pressed by me and i combed and brushed her hair today to arrange it. I forgot to wash her socks but they probaby do not need it some numbers on the bottom of her shoe - probably a store mark. She was probably originally in a large department store in the children's department showing the latest child fashions. Her dress is in a size 18 toddler size.

She has quite a bit of weight to her and is very sturdy. Measurements: height sitting down as her legs were made to be sitting down: 20 - 20-1/2 high. Right arm - moves up and down but i could not twist it off at the shoulder area and did not want to try too hard for fear of breaking it. Someone who is stronger than me might be able to do it. Left arm - moves up and down slightly but i could not get it off at the shoulder area but i could take off the hand at the wrist so i could remove it to get the dress on.

Right leg - was manufactured to be in a stationary sitting position and was meant not to come off. Left leg -looks as though it was made to come off but i did not try to get it off but someone may be able to twist it to do so as that how it was orignally made to come off. Couple of spots on her back where a bit of flesh colored paint has been marred but nothing major. No crack, chips or any other imperfections other than what i mentioned above. She is absolutely adorable and if you are using her to sell toddler clothes, she would be perfect.

If not using her for that she would love to just keep you company in your home and maybe be the daughter that you never had. I know i loved seeing her again after all the time we were separated. You cannot look at the measurements & think that those are your own measurements & that it will fit. All garments need to be a few inches larger than one's own body measurements for a good fit. All items are pre-owned by someone unless otherwise stated as new old stock and may have some signs of wear which is understandable.

I always note any major obvious imperfections although a small one may slip through without my noticing it and if i miss it, it must be very small. All items are wrapped with acid-free tissue. I think too much of my customers & my products to do that to anyone. All vintage items are just that vintage & not new straight from the mall and may show some imperfections, wear and use because of the age.

I try to list any imperfection but a small one could slip by unintentionally. We do not dry clean, launder, alter or repair vintage clothing and they should be cleaned or washed upon arrival.
