Vintage Post Modern IKEA 80s Clothing Rack Wire Mannequin by Ehlén Johansson, Clothes Hanger

Iconic 1980s clothing rack designed by ehlén johansson for ikea. The frame is made of black lacquered wire steel and is as sturdy as it is striking. Ehlén johansson is one of the company's most established designers known for simplifying form and enhancing details. Her full grown valet stand häpen, was available in male and female versions, made of lacquered steel wire with a wooden knob at the top.

A novel and amusing bedroom statue that we're sure many fashionable homes of the 80s and 90s inhabited. Designed and made at a time when the memphis style was popular, this fun item was intended to add humour and a sense of playfulness into the home.

Good overall condition with paint chips / scrapes - review photos for details. With the usual light wear commensurate with age, including some marks to the metal. Some fading / marks to the red wooden top. There is a slight lean back to the statue that we don't think is intentional, but nothing that detracts from its look or functionality..
